About the position

The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for sourcing and attracting candidates through various channels, managing job advertisements, and maintaining accurate recruitment records. This role involves conducting initial applicant screenings, coordinating interviews, assisting with background checks, and supporting the onboarding process. The Specialist also represents the company at job fairs, supports employer branding efforts, and ensures compliance with employment regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct candidate searches using various sourcing methods, including job boards, social media, and professional networks
  • Create and post job advertisements on relevant platforms and job boards
  • Maintain accurate records in the applicant tracking system and recruitment databases
  • Represent the company at job fairs and campus recruitment events
  • Perform initial applicant screening through resume reviews and preliminary phone interviews
  • Coordinate and schedule interviews between candidates and hiring teams
  • Assist in conducting background checks and reference checks for potential hires
  • Prepare and send offer letters to selected candidates
  • Support the onboarding process for new hires, including preparation of welcome packages and orientation materials
  • Support employer branding initiatives by maintaining the company's career page and social media presence
  • Help coordinate and manage the company's internship program
  • Ensure compliance with relevant employment laws and regulations throughout the hiring process

Requirements

  • An Associate's degree in a related business field
  • Three (3) or more years of experience in recruitment or talent acquisition, preferably in a high-growth environment
  • Strong understanding of full-cycle recruitment processes and best practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at all levels
  • Experience with iCIMS ATS is preferred
  • Oil and gas industry-related experience helpful
  • English language fluency, written and verbal
  • Acceptable results of a pre-employment background check and drug/alcohol test
