About the position

The Talent Acquisition Specialist (TAS) plays a crucial role in the recruitment process by attracting, identifying, evaluating, and hiring high-skilled and diverse talent. This position requires a collaborative approach, working closely with Hiring Managers, candidates, and other stakeholders to ensure that hiring goals are clearly defined and successfully achieved. The TAS will employ various recruitment strategies and platforms to attract top talent, ensuring that the organization meets its staffing needs effectively. In this role, the TAS will partner with hiring managers to gain a deep understanding of the role requirements and how they align with broader business goals. The specialist will utilize creative techniques to source and screen both active and passive candidates, leveraging job boards, social networking, and direct sourcing methods. Meeting or exceeding weekly recruiting metrics related to phone screens, interviews, and offers is a key responsibility. The TAS will also identify and screen candidates for role fit and cultural alignment, providing recommendations for interviewing and hiring decisions. A significant aspect of this position is the proactive pursuit of diverse candidate pools to support the organization's diversity efforts. The TAS will employ a data-driven recruiting methodology to influence timely and effective hiring decisions while maintaining data integrity across all recruiting tools. Additionally, the specialist will use internal reporting tools to track the recruiting funnel and sourcing activities, ensuring a streamlined and efficient hiring process.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with hiring managers to deeply understand role requirements and their impact on the broader business goals
  • Attract, source, and screen active and passive talent using various creative techniques, including job boards, social networking, and direct sourcing
  • Meet or exceed weekly recruiting metrics around phone screens, interviews, and offers
  • Identify and screen candidates for role fit and culture add, and provide recommendations for interviewing and hiring
  • Proactively seek diverse candidate pools and support diversity efforts
  • Utilize data-driven recruiting methodology to help influence timely and effective hiring decisions while maintaining data integrity across all recruiting tools
  • Use internal reporting tools to track recruiting funnel and sourcing activities

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree and a minimum of 1 year of relevant recruiting experience or talent sourcing experience in an agency or corporate environment
  • Experience in high-volume recruiting or metrics-focused environment
  • High school diploma and 3 years of relevant recruiting or talent sourcing experience in an agency or corporate environment
  • Demonstrated experience building talent pipelines for future hiring needs
  • Knowledge of sourcing, full life cycle recruiting, hiring process management, hiring manager interaction, time management, and technology
  • Ability to work well as part of a collaborative team as well as independently

Nice-to-haves

  • Experienced in sourcing or recruiting for roles within the Trades (e.g., HVAC, Low Voltage Electricians, Installation Technicians, Repair and Maintenance)
  • Experienced in sourcing or recruiting for sales-focused roles
  • Knowledge and experience using Boolean search strings
