About the position

The Talent Acquisition Specialist at Best Practice Medicine is responsible for developing and implementing effective recruiting strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified talent. This role involves collaborating with various departments to enhance recruitment processes, managing HR functions, and ensuring compliance with employment laws. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and be committed to supporting both employees and clients.

Responsibilities

  • Recruits, interviews, and hires new staff.
  • Ensures the recruitment process follows all employment laws and regulations.
  • Provides training and education on the recruitment process.
  • Collaborates with all divisions to identify system improvements and enhancements.
  • Assists with employee files, record keeping, and personnel changes.
  • Develops, facilitates, and implements all phases of the recruitment process.
  • Collaborates with department managers to draft job descriptions and hiring criteria.
  • Identifies and implements efficient recruiting methods and strategies.
  • Assists with job posting and advertisement processes.
  • Screens applications and selects qualified candidates.
  • Schedules interviews and prepares interview questions and materials.
  • Conducts interviews with managers and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborates during the offer process to identify salary ranges and start dates.
  • Maintains relationships with pools of qualified candidates for future assignments.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • 1-3 years of experience recruiting for a variety of roles.
  • 1-3 years managing all phases of the recruitment and hiring process.
  • Proficient in Google Suite, Microsoft Office Suite, and Adobe.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with good negotiation tactics.
  • Ability to create and implement sourcing strategies for recruitment.
  • Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring.

Nice-to-haves

  • 3-5 years of experience recruiting for a variety of roles; healthcare or emergency services recruiting a plus.
  • 3-5+ years managing all phases of the recruitment and hiring process.
  • SHRM-CP or PHR certification is a plus.
  • Experience with Paylocity and Breezy.
  • Prior emergency services experience is a plus.
