About the position

The Talent Acquisition Specialist at TransChicago Truck Group plays a crucial role in shaping the company's future by partnering with business leaders to deliver strategic recruiting solutions. This position involves managing the full recruitment life cycle, from sourcing candidates to closing offers, while ensuring an excellent experience for both candidates and stakeholders. The specialist will leverage data-driven insights to improve hiring quality and efficiency, and will work closely with the HR team to enhance employee engagement and retention.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize creative strategies to manage the end-to-end recruitment process for various roles, including job posting, sourcing, interviewing, offer negotiation, and onboarding.
  • Build and maintain relationships with hiring managers to understand business objectives, assess hiring needs, and advise on strategies to secure talent.
  • Leverage data and research to create strategies that drive quality of hire, decrease time-to-fill, and improve stakeholder and candidate satisfaction.
  • Act as a data-minded partner by maintaining strong data integrity in ATS (JazzHR) and HRIS (ADP), as well as creating reports for leadership.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends and market developments to attract top talent and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Partner with the Director of Human Resources in creating and executing various learning & development programs that guide employees on best recruitment practices.
  • Work with the HR team and across the company to increase retention, build employee relations, and drive employee engagement.
  • Identify and attend career fairs and other hiring events to promote openings and market services.
  • Assist in ensuring all job descriptions are current and accurate.
  • Support the process of new hire orientation for all newly hired personnel, ensuring a positive onboarding experience.
  • Provide general administrative support to the HR Department and perform other HR duties as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Admin, or related field is preferred.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in full cycle recruiting and HR, preferably in-house/corporate.
  • Skilled at utilizing data-driven insights to inform decision-making throughout the recruitment process.
  • Strong negotiation acumen, demonstrating the ability to navigate complex discussions with candidates, hiring managers, and stakeholders to achieve optimal employment terms and agreements.
  • Highly skilled using an ATS (Applicant Tracking System); meticulous with documentation and using technology to streamline the recruiting process.
  • A track record of high volume and quality placements where hires have stayed and grown within a company.
  • Experience supporting multiple hiring managers; able to navigate and adapt to changing needs while partnering with leadership on strategic hires.
