About the position

The Part-Time Teller at Midland States Bank is responsible for providing exceptional customer service while processing banking transactions for both business and individual clients. This role involves managing a cash drawer, ensuring accurate transactions, and cross-selling bank services. The teller will also participate in community activities and uphold the bank's core values.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by processing banking transactions for business and individual clients.
• Manage a cash drawer and ensure accurate transaction processing.
• Cross-sell bank services to customers.
• Trial balance cash drawer throughout the day and at the end of the shift.
• Report any discrepancies in cash drawer to the supervisor.
• Receive cash and checks for deposit, verifying amounts and endorsements.
• Examine cash for counterfeit bills and cash checks according to bank policy.
• Assist customers with transactions and ATM operations.
• Demonstrate knowledge of bank products and services to customers.
• Participate in weekly huddles and one-on-one coaching sessions.
• Maintain compliance with all applicable regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA).
• Participate in bank-sponsored community activities.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
• Ability to lift and transport coin and currency bags weighing between 25lbs and 50lbs.
