About the position

The Talent Acquisition Specialist at PathGroup is a pivotal role within the Human Resources department, reporting directly to the Human Resources Manager. This position is responsible for the full life-cycle recruiting process, which includes recruiting, screening, and recommending placement of staff through innovative sourcing methods. The Talent Acquisition Specialist will oversee the administrative aspects of recruiting, conduct applicant background checks and drug screenings, and manage the dispositioning of candidates and employees within the applicant tracking system (ATS). In this role, the Talent Acquisition Specialist will coordinate the efforts of the recruiting team to ensure that all processes and procedures are consistent and effective. They will partner closely with hiring managers to assess staffing needs and develop strategies to meet those needs. Building and maintaining strong relationships with both internal and external clients is essential to achieving staffing goals. The Specialist will screen resumes, conduct interviews (both by phone and in person), administer assessments, and perform reference and background checks. They will also be responsible for making hiring recommendations and delivering employment offers for both exempt and nonexempt positions within their assigned territory. The position requires effective communication of important employment information during the offer process, including details about benefits, compensation, and relocation. The Talent Acquisition Specialist will also manage the internal transfer process, ensuring that all necessary steps are followed, including screening candidates and coordinating interviews with hiring managers. Additionally, they will assist in managing the ATS, providing support and training to supervisors and managers as needed, and ensuring that all personnel action forms and staff requisition paperwork are completed accurately. The Specialist will respond to inquiries from employees and external parties regarding pre-screening processes, onboarding, transfers, job advertisements, and credential verifications. They will follow up with candidates and hiring managers to gather feedback on the recruiting process and provide suggestions for improving HR processes. Furthermore, the Specialist will interpret and explain HR policies and procedures, manage application and resume files in accordance with company policy, and assist with special projects as assigned. All responsibilities must be performed in alignment with industry best practices and regulatory guidelines to protect sensitive company data and comply with the Corporate Compliance Program.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Two to three years of prior job-related experience preferred.
  • Recruiting experience required.
  • Knowledge of State and Federal employment law/regulations required.
  • General principles and practices of human resources knowledge required.
