About the position

We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Talent Acquisition Specialist in Palm Springs, California, within the Healthcare, Hospitals, and Social Assistance industry. This role focuses on managing recruitment efforts, building relationships with educational institutions, and maintaining a strong social media presence for recruitment purposes. The Talent Acquisition Specialist will play a crucial role in sourcing and attracting top talent to our organization, ensuring that we meet our staffing needs effectively and efficiently. This position requires a proactive approach to recruitment, as well as the ability to collaborate with various departments to enhance our hiring processes. In this role, you will be responsible for aiding in the recruitment process for open positions by contacting candidates and handling necessary paperwork. You will take charge of representing our team at recruitment events, fostering relationships with vocational and trade schools, and visiting these institutions to promote our organization. As the primary contact for external recruiters, you will oversee job postings and manage requisitions, ensuring that our job descriptions and wage scales are up to date and competitive. Additionally, you will function as an in-house recruiter, strategizing on innovative ways to fill positions and collaborating with the Marketing department to maintain an effective social media presence for recruitment. Organizing weekly recruiting update meetings with the onboarding team will be part of your responsibilities, as well as utilizing a range of methods and tools to source candidates. You will also be responsible for sending out monthly reports to hiring managers on the status of their open positions, including job posting statistics and inquiries about the necessity of the position.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize a range of methods and tools (such as Indeed, internal applicant tracking system, relationships with schools) to source candidates
  • Send out monthly reports to hiring managers on the status of their open positions, including job posting statistics and inquiries about the necessity of the position.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within the Healthcare, Hospitals, or Social Assistance industry
  • Proficiency in using Careerbuilder and Applicant Track System
  • Experience in conducting Background Checks
  • Familiarity with Benefit Functions within the healthcare industry
  • Excellent Communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Previous experience in Corporate Recruiting, specifically within the healthcare sector
  • Proven track record in successful Onboarding of new hires
  • Ability to Develop Job Descriptions that attract the right talent
  • Must adhere to and uphold the highest level of ethical standards and confidentiality
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • Strong decision-making skills and a results-driven approach
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
