About the position

This hybrid position is located in Ann Arbor, MI. The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for executing the company's recruitment strategy and process by managing the candidate experience from application through offer. This specialist ensures the timely scheduling of candidate interviews and detailed tracking of candidate activity through an ATS (applicant tracking system). A collaborative individual contributor, the Talent Acquisition Specialist will partner closely with members of the People, Culture & Equity Team and hiring managers across the organization while maintaining a high level of confidentiality and a service philosophy aligned with the company's service standards. Essential Functions include Recruitment Administration, where the specialist actively supports talent acquisition by sourcing candidates, screening resumes with input from hiring managers via recruiting software, and pre-screening candidates. They will schedule interviews with hiring managers and panels, develop new strategies and programs to attract both qualified internal and external candidates to open positions, and ensure a constant pipeline of qualified candidates is available. The specialist will also actively support talent acquisition by sourcing candidates through various channels such as incoming applications, networking, social media, referrals, career fairs, and colleges. The Talent Acquisition Specialist will develop local and regional recruiting sources and maintain ongoing relationships to promote the company as a Destination Employer. They will serve as the point of contact for candidates and interview teams regarding interview schedules, changes, and questions. This includes scheduling candidate interviews (both phone and on-site) by partnering with multiple stakeholders, including candidates, administrative assistants, hiring managers, and interviewers, in a timely manner. The specialist will prepare and distribute interview schedules, candidate resumes, and evaluations, and coordinate candidate travel as applicable, managing the candidate expenses process and troubleshooting any travel issues. Ultimately, the goal is to deliver a seamless and positive experience for all candidates while updating and tracking candidate activity through the applicant tracking system (ATS) with a high degree of accuracy to maintain the integrity of the candidate database.

Requirements

  • Minimum of two years of recruitment experience in a non-profit setting.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software and applicant tracking systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidential information.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve objectives in collaboration with other functional areas.

Nice-to-haves

  • Healthcare recruitment experience preferred.
