About the position

The Sr. Talent Acquisition Specialist - University Relations at NJM Insurance Group is responsible for implementing modern marketing strategies to attract top talent from college and high school graduates. This role focuses on building and maintaining a robust University Relations program, including the annual summer Internship Program, to ensure a pipeline of talent for the organization. The position requires strong relationship-building skills and the ability to coordinate recruitment efforts effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain a multi-year University Relations recruitment strategy.
  • Foster relationships with school leaders, professors, and career centers.
  • Coordinate the NJM Internship Program to ensure a meaningful experience for students.
  • Attract and recruit talent for the summer NJM Internship Program.
  • Monitor and track the conversion of intern talent to full-time or part-time roles.
  • Develop and enhance the NJM Internship Program.
  • Prepare analysis of outcomes for the Internship Program and University Relations efforts.
  • Participate in recruitment events such as campus job fairs.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for university relations best practices.
  • Coordinate logistical support for campus events and communications.
  • Partner with stakeholders to identify programs of interest and forecast hiring needs.
  • Conduct applicant screenings and facilitate interviews.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in University Relations or full life cycle recruiting.
  • Prior experience overseeing a University Relations or Internship Program.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Marketing, or a relevant field.
  • In-depth knowledge of employer branding strategies and recruitment marketing.
  • Strong understanding of recruitment processes and candidate selection methods.
  • Hands-on experience with recruitment marketing software is a plus.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications required.
  • Reliable transportation for campus recruitment events.
  • Outstanding organizational, analytical, and time management skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with multitasking abilities.
  • Creative thinking and proactive problem-solving skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior experience in the property and casualty insurance industry.
  • Experience with a major Applicant Tracking System (ATS) such as Workday.
  • Experience with a major CRM tool such as SalesForce.
