About the position

Dreamfields is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Talent Acquisition Specialist to support our expanding workforce. In this role, you will be responsible for attracting, identifying, and hiring top talent across various departments, focusing on high-demand roles within Production, Security, and marketing. The ideal candidate has experience in high-volume recruiting, a strong understanding of the cannabis industry, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment. As a Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will manage multiple requisitions simultaneously, focusing on high-demand roles including but not limited to production technicians, quality control inspectors, packaging associates, security guards, and brand ambassadors. You will develop and execute innovative sourcing strategies to attract a diverse pool of candidates, utilizing online job boards, social media, industry networks, and employee referrals. Maintaining a robust candidate pipeline is crucial to ensure a steady flow of qualified candidates to meet the company's rapid growth needs. Your responsibilities will also include conducting initial screenings and assessments to evaluate candidates' qualifications, experience, and cultural fit with the company. You will coordinate and schedule interviews with hiring managers, providing timely feedback and guidance throughout the hiring process. Utilizing behavioral and competency-based interviewing techniques will be essential to identify candidates with the right skills and attitudes for success in the cannabis manufacturing industry. Collaboration with stakeholders is key; you will provide regular updates to hiring managers on the status of open positions, candidate pipelines, and recruitment challenges. Working closely with the HR team will ensure a smooth and positive candidate experience, from application to onboarding. You will also ensure that all recruitment activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including those specific to the cannabis industry, while maintaining accurate records in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS). Additionally, you will contribute to the development and promotion of the company's employer brand, representing Dreamfields at job fairs, industry events, and community outreach initiatives to attract talent and build relationships with potential candidates. Continuous improvement is vital, so staying informed about trends and best practices in talent acquisition, particularly within the cannabis industry, will help enhance recruitment strategies and meet business needs.

  • Participate in recruitment strategy meetings, offering insights and suggestions for improving the hiring process and meeting business needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in talent acquisition, with a focus on high-volume recruitment.
  • Experience in the cannabis industry or manufacturing sector is strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of the cannabis industry, including regulatory requirements and industry trends.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with candidates and internal stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), HRIS, and other recruitment technologies.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with a commitment to delivering a positive candidate experience.
  • PHR, SHRM-CP, or similar HR certifications are a plus.
