About the position

The Talent Acquisition Specialist at DreamFields is responsible for managing the full recruitment cycle for various roles within the cannabis manufacturing industry, focusing on high-demand positions. This role involves sourcing, screening, and assessing candidates, collaborating with hiring managers, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations. The specialist will maintain a strong candidate pipeline to support the company's rapid growth while contributing to employer branding and recruitment process improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple requisitions simultaneously for high-demand roles such as production technicians, quality control inspectors, packaging associates, security guards, and brand ambassadors.
  • Develop and execute innovative sourcing strategies to attract a diverse pool of candidates through online job boards, social media, industry networks, and employee referrals.
  • Maintain a robust candidate pipeline to ensure a steady flow of qualified candidates to meet the company's growth needs.
  • Conduct initial screenings and assessments to evaluate candidates' qualifications, experience, and cultural fit with the company.
  • Coordinate and schedule interviews with hiring managers, providing timely feedback and guidance throughout the hiring process.
  • Utilize behavioral and competency-based interviewing techniques to identify candidates with the right skills and attitudes for success in the cannabis manufacturing industry.
  • Provide regular updates to hiring managers on the status of open positions, candidate pipelines, and recruitment challenges.
  • Work collaboratively with the HR team to ensure a smooth and positive candidate experience from application to onboarding.
  • Ensure all recruitment activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including those specific to the cannabis industry.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS), ensuring compliance with company policies and industry standards.
  • Prepare and present reports on recruitment metrics, such as time-to-fill, source effectiveness, and candidate diversity.
  • Contribute to the development and promotion of the company's employer brand, highlighting the benefits of working in the cannabis industry.
  • Represent the company at job fairs, industry events, and community outreach initiatives to attract talent and build relationships with potential candidates.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external recruitment agencies, educational institutions, and professional organizations to expand the talent pool.
  • Stay informed about trends and best practices in talent acquisition, particularly within the cannabis industry, and apply this knowledge to enhance recruitment strategies.
  • Participate in recruitment strategy meetings, offering insights and suggestions for improving the hiring process and meeting business needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in talent acquisition, with a focus on high-volume recruitment strongly preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in customer service and/or sales role required.
  • Experience in the cannabis industry or manufacturing sector is strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of the cannabis industry, including regulatory requirements and industry trends.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with candidates and internal stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), HRIS, and other recruitment technologies.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with a commitment to delivering a positive candidate experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • PHR, SHRM-CP, or similar HR certifications are a plus.
