About the position

As the Talent and Business Operations Manager for Sephora Stores, you will oversee the People and Operations functions at a specific store location. This role involves managing staffing, training, onboarding, scheduling, and ensuring compliance with Sephora's operational standards. You will also be responsible for conducting interviews, managing performance assessments, and leading operational excellence within the store.

Responsibilities

  • Manage staffing and zoning of the store.
  • Conduct final interviews for key positions.
  • Utilize the online applicant tracking system to source and hire candidates.
  • Manage all training-related functions within the store.
  • Develop and execute ongoing training strategies in collaboration with the Store Director and Education partners.
  • Write and deliver annual performance reviews for direct reports.
  • Oversee the performance management process for the entire store.
  • Ensure timely feedback for team improvement is delivered and followed up on.
  • Lead the operations of the store and ensure compliance with operational processes.
  • Manage inventory, including shipping, receiving, returning merchandise, and cycle counting.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of sales performance, staffing, payroll, and controllable expenses.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of experience in a similar role at a comparable volume store or equivalent internal experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to influence business partners at all levels.
  • Proven ability to create teams and attract talented store leaders.
