About the position

The Talent Acquisition Specialist at MTM Transit is responsible for managing the full life cycle recruitment process for hourly roles at the assigned location. This role emphasizes personalized attention and exceptional care in recruitment, ensuring that every candidate experience is important. The position requires a driven and innovative individual who can effectively build relationships within the local community to enhance the candidate pipeline and represent MTM Transit as an Employer of Choice.

Responsibilities

• Execute the full life cycle recruitment process from job posting through candidate onboarding for hourly onsite employees.
• Meet with all walk-in interviews and answer candidate questions.
• Build relationships and increase outreach efforts within the local community to enhance the candidate pipeline.
• Coordinate onsite job fairs and attend community events.
• Communicate with onsite Leadership regarding the status of the recruiting process.
• Conduct weekly touch bases with onsite leaders to review recruitment needs and turnover.
• Conduct reference/background checks, extend formal offers of employment, and confirm start dates based on New Hire Orientation availability.
• Accurately enter all new hires and promotions into Workday and maintain required documentation in personnel files.
• Provide exceptional customer service to candidates throughout the recruitment process.
• Achieve targeted KPIs and act as a Brand Ambassador for MTM Transit.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1+ years of experience in a recruiting role or related role
• Experience with data entry
• Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment
• Demonstrated professionalism and customer service skills
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint

Nice-to-haves

• Previous experience with Workday
• Experience using social channels such as Indeed to source candidates
