About the position

The Metro Atlanta Chamber (MAC) is seeking a dedicated Talent Coordinator to join our dynamic team, playing a pivotal role in shaping the future workforce of Georgia. This full-time internship position is designed for individuals who are passionate about talent acquisition and workforce development. The Talent Coordinator will be instrumental in identifying, recruiting, and supporting interns who will contribute to the growth and innovation of our member companies. This role will involve collaboration with various departments within MAC and external partners to achieve our organizational mission. As a Talent Coordinator, you will work under the guidance of the Talent Program Manager, supporting the Georgia Intern App program and related MAC initiatives. Your responsibilities will include recruitment and selection, where you will collaborate with MAC member companies and educational institutions to identify internship opportunities. You will source potential interns through various channels, including online platforms, career fairs, and networking events. Additionally, you will screen resumes, participate in initial interviews, and recommend qualified candidates to member companies. In terms of internship program coordination, you will serve as the primary point of contact for interns throughout their internship experience. This includes coordinating orientation sessions and ongoing professional development workshops for interns, as well as monitoring intern performance and providing feedback to ensure a valuable learning experience. Building strong relationships with MAC member companies, educational institutions, and community partners will be essential to promote internship opportunities and enhance brand awareness. Data management and reporting will also be a key aspect of your role. You will maintain accurate records of intern placements, program metrics, and participant feedback, preparing regular reports on internship program effectiveness and outcomes for internal stakeholders. Continuous improvement will be a focus, as you will identify opportunities to enhance the internship program based on feedback and industry best practices, implementing initiatives to support diversity, equity, and inclusion within the program.

Requirements

  • Associate or bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience working with young people who are actively seeking education and employment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to build rapport and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Focused and detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to travel for work and work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with recruitment strategies, student campus activities, and talent acquisition processes is a plus.
