About the position
We are seeking an experienced Music Manager and Publicist to represent a celebrity recording artist. The role involves managing the artist's business and creative interests, planning a national press tour for the promotion of a recently self-published book, and ensuring positive media coverage through strategic public relations efforts.
Responsibilities
- Represent the artist and nurture his business and creative interests.
- Book gigs and plan album projects.
- Orchestrate record releases, listening parties, and tours.
- Create marketing and merchandising strategies.
- Establish and pursue long-term career goals for the artist.
- Help acquire a publicist if needed.
- Manage and generate publicity for the client through media strategies.
- Write press materials including press releases, bios, and media kits.
- Pitch stories to the media and secure coverage for the client.
- Build and maintain relationships with journalists and media outlets.
- Schedule interviews for the client with various media platforms.
- Organize press conferences and publicity events.
- Respond to negative publicity and manage reputational issues.
- Develop and oversee social media strategies to enhance client visibility.
- Monitor media coverage and analyze the impact of publicity campaigns.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Music Manager and Publicist.
- Strong understanding of the music industry and media landscape.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create and execute effective media strategies.
- Experience in crisis management and public relations.

- Experience working with celebrity clientele.
