About the position

The Talent Partner - Employee Relations and Engagement (TPERE) is a key advocate for employee success, dedicated to fostering a supportive work environment that prioritizes retention, development, and well-being. This role collaborates with various campuses and departments to enhance employee relations, coordinate performance reviews, and ensure fair application of HR policies. The TPERE empowers leaders to effectively address HR matters while serving as a primary contact for HR inquiries and providing essential HRIS support and data analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the main point of contact for HR inquiries for assigned campuses/departments, providing accurate information and guidance to employees and leaders.
  • Support leaders/managers in fostering engagement, conflict resolution, and career development to create an inclusive and supportive workplace.
  • Assist in the rollout of retention-focused initiatives, gathering and analyzing data to address factors impacting employee satisfaction and engagement.
  • Coordinate with the Sr. Director of Talent Strategic Initiatives to manage annual performance reviews, ensuring resources support employee growth, development, and recognition.
  • Conduct investigations and monitor disciplinary practices and trends throughout the network and assigned campuses.
  • Collect and analyze data related to the employee experience and life cycle, including HR metrics to identify trends and inform leadership decisions on employee retention and engagement.
  • Manage HR projects aimed at improving employee experience, engagement, and services, ensuring key stakeholders are regularly informed of progress.
  • Maintain knowledge of relevant labor laws and certification requirements to ensure HR policies are compliant and supportive of employee rights.

Requirements

  • A minimum of six (6) years of relevant, full-time, progressively more responsible experience in Human Resources Management, HR Operations, HRIS, HR Compliance, or other relevant HR-focused area.
  • Bachelor's degree in management (w/ concentration in HR), Business Administration (w/ concentration in HRM, Organizational Behavior, Industrial Relations, Organizational Development, and/or Leadership), Psychology, or other related field, plus a minimum of two (2) years of experience.
  • HRCI and/or SHRM certification strongly preferred.
  • Broad knowledge and experience in employment law, compensation, organizational development, employee relations, and/or training and development.
  • Working knowledge of Pennsylvania and New Jersey regulations and employment law strongly preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior experience with training design and delivery.
  • Experience in urban schools or other educational settings.
