About the position

South Carolina Federal Credit Union is currently seeking a Talent Recruiter to join our team of outstanding Talent professionals in North Charleston, SC. The Talent Recruiter will play a crucial role in supporting the recruitment of South Carolina Federal employees. This position involves a variety of responsibilities, including posting and advertising open positions, processing and screening applications, ensuring that minimum qualifications are met, conducting interviews, administering pre-employment evaluations, and providing recommendations to hiring managers. The recruiter will also prepare necessary documentation and notify candidates of hiring decisions. In addition to these core responsibilities, the Talent Recruiter will support recruiting efforts by identifying talent through proactive sourcing techniques across multiple social media sites and search engines. The role requires effective utilization of the company’s Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and various talent screening and evaluation systems. The recruiter will also coordinate and professionally represent South Carolina Federal at external job fairs and community events, assisting with the coordination and delivery of Talent Acquisition activities for New Employee Orientation and New Management Orientation. The Talent Recruiter will support various Human Resource efforts, including coordinating and participating in career services, diversity and inclusion initiatives, and employee branding activities as needed. It is essential for the recruiter to maintain current recruitment policies and procedures, stay informed about industry trends and best practices, and propose new ideas when appropriate. The recruiter will promote teamwork among all areas of the credit union and actively participate in training activities, coaching sessions, and meetings. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Support and actively demonstrate adherence to the Core Competencies.
  • Exhibit and adhere to BLUE standards to exceed members' expectations.
  • Post and advertise open positions, process and screen applications, and ensure minimum qualifications are met.
  • Conduct interviews and administer pre-employment evaluations.
  • Provide recommendations to hiring managers and prepare necessary documentation.
  • Notify candidates of hiring decisions.
  • Identify talent through proactive sourcing techniques across multiple social media sites and search engines.
  • Utilize the company Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and various talent screening and evaluation systems effectively.
  • Coordinate and represent South Carolina Federal at external job fairs and community events.
  • Assist with the coordination and delivery of Talent Acquisition activities for New Employee Orientation and New Management Orientation.
  • Support various Human Resource efforts including career services, diversity and inclusion, and employee branding activities.
  • Keep recruitment policies and procedures current and maintain industry knowledge of trends and best practices.
  • Participate in training activities, coaching sessions, and meetings.
  • Promote teamwork among all areas of the credit union.

Requirements

  • Possess an associate's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of two years of recruiting/talent acquisition experience.
  • Minimum of one year of experience sourcing candidates via various job boards and career sites.
  • Working knowledge of Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) laws.
  • Previous experience coordinating and working job fairs.
  • Experience working with an applicant tracking system, preferably Jobvite.
  • High standards of professionalism in appearance and conduct.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive issues with tact and diplomacy.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Intermediate mathematical skills to perform calculations involving decimals and percentages.
