Responsibilities
- Understand and adhere to safe work processes and demonstrate a safety culture.
- Perform tank erection activities without direct supervision.
- Utilize primary tank building tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Use plate clamps and understand applications for wire rope and synthetic slings.
- Recognize hazards and take necessary actions to mitigate them.
- Engage in heavy construction work for steel plate tanks and vessels.
- Maintain good housekeeping practices on site.
- Perform general labor tasks including material handling and scaffold material management.
- Safely operate air and electric powered hand tools, and maintain weld seams and tank materials.
- Erect external structural steel, platforms, and associated components for tanks.
- Fabricate and install internal tank piping and instruments.
- Operate construction equipment for lifting and material handling as required.
- Assist in basic rigging and tagging of materials.
- Identify and remove defective tools and equipment from service.
Requirements
- At least 6 months of experience in industrial tank construction.
- Understanding of safe work processes and safety culture in construction.
- Knowledge of tank erection processes and associated activities.
- Ability to recognize hazards and take appropriate actions to mitigate them.
- Familiarity with the use of plate clamps and rigging equipment.
