About the position

The Tank Mechanic position at Depot Connect International (DCI) involves performing essential maintenance and repair tasks on tank containers and trailers. The role is critical to ensuring the safe and efficient operation of tank services, requiring a blend of mechanical skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Pressure test tanks, drain and dry out tanks
• Repair and replace tank container valves, gaskets, and gauges
• Operate hoists, cranes, and precision measuring and testing instruments
• Observe and listen to mechanical devices to diagnose causes of mechanical issues
• Repair and replace defective parts, inspect and adjust used parts
• Lubricate and clean parts
• Operate lathe, drill press and grinders
• Use hand tools and power tools

Requirements

• Mechanical background
• Good communication skills (verbal and written)
• Detail-oriented
• Ability to wear a respirator
• Comfortable with heights on top of tanks
• Ability to work in enclosed spaces inside of tanks
