About the position
The Tank Cleaner position at CCI Industrial Services involves assisting in the removal of various substances from large crude oil storage tanks, oil pipelines, and industrial processing tanks. The role requires heavy physical labor and adherence to safety protocols while working in potentially hazardous environments. The position is critical in maintaining the cleanliness and operational efficiency of industrial tanks and pipelines, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards.
Responsibilities
- Ensure a safe work environment.
- Clean interiors of large crude oil storage tanks, oil pipelines, and industrial processing tanks.
- Use large industrial liquid material pushing devices to move crude oil to extraction areas.
- Monitor external tank trucks and connect hoses to water or steam lines to flush residues from tanks.
- Scrape and scrub tank walls to remove incrustations, scales, or deposits.
- Squeegee crude oil and sludge into recovery areas or sumps.
- Remove chemical residues and other liquids from tank bottoms using squeegees or pump and suction hoses.
- Dry tanks with portable air-drying equipment.
- Test gas content of tanks.
- Add specified chemicals to industrial tanks to maintain processing solutions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC) is required.
- A Valid Driver's License is required.
