About the position

Royal Bliss Brewing Company is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Taproom Manager to join our team at our brewery located in Denver, NC. This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from $50,000 to $65,000 per year, along with various benefits including paid training and paid time off. The Taproom Manager will play a crucial role in managing the daily operations of the Taproom, ensuring that we provide outstanding craft beer and food in a welcoming and family-friendly environment. Opened in March 2020, our 15-barrel brewery has quickly gained a strong reputation and a committed customer base, thanks to our dedication to exceptional service and quality products. The Taproom Manager will be responsible for fostering a culture of ownership and accountability among the staff, which consists of over 20 front-of-house employees. This role requires a hands-on approach to management, with an emphasis on training, scheduling, and performance management. The ideal candidate will have a passion for craft beer and a natural leadership style that allows them to manage a bustling environment with grace. They will also oversee merchandise and in-store product sales, regularly interacting with customers, the brewery owners, the brewmaster, and the chef. Collaboration across these teams is essential for the success of the Taproom Manager. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for mentoring shift leads and providing guidance through direct feedback and performance reviews. A strong work ethic, impeccable organizational skills, and proficiency in both front-of-house and back-of-house operations are critical for this role. Background checks will be performed on all finalists, and we are looking to fill this position as soon as possible.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the daily operations of the Taproom with a hands-on approach.
  • Create an environment that encourages ownership and accountability among staff.
  • Foster a welcoming, family-friendly culture for customers.
  • Manage, train, and schedule a front-of-house staff of 20+ efficiently.
  • Oversee merchandise and in-store product sales.
  • Regularly interact with customers, brewery owners, brewmaster, chef, and other team members.
  • Mentor shift leads and provide guidance by example.
  • Manage staff performance with consistent feedback, reviews, and discipline.
  • Maintain a fair and motivating atmosphere for the team.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of management experience in the restaurant industry.
  • Strong work ethic and confidence in self and team.
  • Impeccable organization, communication, and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in all operational roles in both front-of-house and back-of-house.
