Requirements

• High School Graduate / GED or equivalent experience.
• Strong communication and listening skills.
• Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Interpersonal skills that are friendly, caring, and patient.
• Sales skills and knowledge of store merchandise.
• Familiarity with cash registers, computers, and calculators.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in customer service, retail, or optical.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers promptly upon their arrival.
• Determine the reason for the customer's visit and explain the shopping process at Target Optical.
• Review prescriptions and patient information carefully, consulting with opticians or management as needed.
• Handle and file patient records efficiently and accurately.
• Process contact lens orders and manage shipments and invoices.
• Operate the POS system accurately and collect payments as required.
• Maintain the appearance of the store and ensure displays are clean and organized.
• Perform pre-examination testing and explain measurements to patients.
• Provide coaching on the care and handling of contact lenses.
