About the position

The Tariff Analyst at Murata Electronics is responsible for maintaining and reporting logistics data related to tariffs and trade compliance. This role involves developing and managing data tools to ensure visibility for management and various departments within the company. The position supports the optimization of tariff-related processes and collaborates with different teams to ensure accurate pricing calculations and compliance with trade regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain tariff dashboards and analyze tariff data for accurate pricing calculations and cost visibility.
  • Coordinate tariff refunds from the government and initiate customer reimbursements.
  • Support sales and logistics departments by reporting and interpreting tariff-related data.
  • Optimize queries for large data sets to support trade compliance programs, including duty drawback and Foreign-Trade Zone (FTZ).
  • Collaborate with freight forwarding visibility systems, Murata's ERP, and document management systems to manage shipment and billing documents.
  • Support the transportation group in coordinating the movement and documentation of inbound shipments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relatable field.
  • 3+ years' work experience related to supply chain with knowledge in trade tariffs.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel including Power Query or other database/query software.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to use resourcefulness and knowledge to complete projects.
  • High sense of urgency and proactive approach.
  • Excellent administrative and data entry skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong time management and task prioritization skills.
