About the position

We are currently seeking a Tax Accountant at our corporate headquarters in St. Louis, MO. This role is crucial in supporting compliance with financial and tax requirements and regulations by maintaining and preparing tax-related items that involve tax records, returns, schedules, and related reports. The Tax Accountant will be responsible for preparing federal, state, and local level returns to be submitted within specified tax deadlines. The duties of the Tax Accountant will include the preparation of income tax returns and tax return adjustments, as well as the preparation of allocation and apportionment schedules and reconciliation to general ledger amounts. Additionally, the role involves preparing exemption certificates and sales and use tax returns/analysis. The Tax Accountant will also prepare individual company tax basis balance sheets and assist with provision deferred calculations. Analyzing and preparing all foreign bank reporting memos and required forms for policy adherence will also be part of the responsibilities. The individual will be expected to perform other duties as required, contributing to the overall efficiency and compliance of the tax department. This position is a full-time role based at our corporate office. Responsibilities

  • Preparation of income tax returns and tax return adjustments
  • Preparation of allocation and apportionment schedules and reconciliation to general ledger amounts

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting or related field; Master's degree in Accounting preferred
  • Experience in tax or accounting fields preferred but not required
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills to prioritize work assignments
  • Ability to analyze and reconcile accounts and utilize accounting reports
  • Working knowledge of Excel, SAP, Word, tax software
  • Excellent analytical rigor for financial and accounting duties
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
