About the position
The Tax Accountant position is focused on providing tax preparation and review services during the busy tax season. The role requires expertise in handling various types of tax returns and maintaining client relationships, ensuring compliance and accuracy in tax filings.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review corporate tax returns
- Prepare and review individual tax returns
- Prepare and review partnership tax returns
- Prepare and review high-net-worth tax returns
- Prepare financial statements
- Handle payroll and sales tax matters
- Maintain client relationships
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding tax matters
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in public accounting
- Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Experience with LaCerte tax software
- Strong understanding of corporate, individual, partnership, and high-net tax returns
- Experience in preparation of financial statements and tax returns
- Knowledge of payroll and sales tax regulations
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
