The accountant will prepare and review work papers, calculations, and forms related to federal and state tax compliance, including consolidated and combined returns. Responsibilities also include analyzing state apportionment and allocation work papers, responding to notices from various jurisdictions, and leading projects of significant scope and complexity. The accountant will utilize tax software to assist in the completion of state K-1s and tax trial balances, and will be responsible for collecting data for various reports and billing documents. In addition to technical skills, the role requires strong organizational and time management abilities to prioritize workload and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. The accountant will need to communicate effectively with all organizational levels and provide high levels of customer service to both internal and external clients.
