About the position

The Senior Tax Accountant position at ttg Talent Solutions is a full-time role focused on preparing and reviewing various tax returns, including individual, corporate, partnership, trust, and estate returns. The role requires a strong foundation in public accounting and offers the opportunity to engage directly with clients while providing technical expertise on complex tax matters. This hybrid position allows for three days of in-office work and emphasizes accuracy, client satisfaction, and the development of client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review individual, corporate, partnership, trust, and estate tax returns, ensuring compliance with all relevant tax codes and regulations.
• Assist associate and staff accountants in resolving general tax return issues and offer guidance as needed.
• Conduct tax planning and analysis, including projections and preparation of extensions and estimated payments.
• Research technical tax issues and provide insights and solutions to complex tax situations.
• Engage directly with clients across various industries, responding to inquiries and addressing tax-related needs.
• Stay up-to-date on current accounting practices, IRS regulations, and changes in tax laws to provide accurate and compliant services.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• Active CPA license or working toward completion.
• Minimum of 2 years of public accounting experience.
• Strong proficiency in tax preparation and planning software.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly in applying US GAAP standards.
• Effective client management skills, with an ability to develop and maintain professional client relationships.
• Ability to balance multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, particularly during tax season.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
