About the position
Robert Half is seeking an experienced Tax Accountant with expertise in Lacerte Tax Software to join a boutique tax and accounting firm in Beverly Hills. This position is temp to hire and offers a hybrid working schedule. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tax preparation and compliance, particularly for partnerships and corporations, and will be responsible for ensuring compliance with tax regulations while optimizing tax savings for clients.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for partnerships, corporations, and individuals.
- Use Lacerte Tax Software to manage tax preparation processes efficiently.
- Conduct thorough tax planning and research to optimize tax savings for clients.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Analyze financial statements to determine tax implications.
- Communicate effectively with clients to gather necessary documentation and clarify tax matters.
- Assist with tax audits and correspondence with tax authorities, as needed.
- Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations.
- Collaborate with the accounting team to provide seamless client services.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA certification preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax accounting with a focus on partnerships and corporations.
- Proficient in Lacerte Tax Software.
- Strong understanding of federal and state tax laws and regulations.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
