Century Group is partnering with a client who is seeking a Tax Accountant to join their team. The Tax Accountant will be responsible for preparing individual and corporate tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal guidelines. This role involves analyzing financial statements and reports to identify tax-saving opportunities and minimize liabilities. The Tax Accountant will also ensure that clients remain compliant with federal, state, and local tax requirements by staying updated on changes in tax laws and regulations. Additionally, the position requires providing advice on tax planning and strategies to improve profits while minimizing tax burdens. The Tax Accountant will prepare federal and state income and franchise tax returns and assist in the annual tax provision process. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a relevant field, along with 3-5+ years of experience as a Tax Accountant, Tax Analyst, or Tax Preparer. A CPA certification is preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and accounting software is essential. The candidate should have a good grasp of tax laws and GAAP, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate tax reporting. Strong communication and analytical skills are also crucial for success in this role.
