About the position

The Tax Accountant position at a reputable Accounting & Tax Services Firm involves preparing various tax returns, including personal, corporate, partnership, and trust tax returns. The role requires strong problem-solving skills, the ability to work independently, and effective communication with clients. The candidate will also assist clients with accounting matters and adjust and close books for business clients at year-end. This position is available for both full-time and part-time candidates, with a preference for full-time applicants.

Responsibilities

• Prepare personal, corporate, partnership, and trust tax returns.
• Adjust and close books for business clients at year-end.
• Assist clients with accounting matters as issues arise.
• Communicate effectively with clients to provide excellent service.
• Utilize Lacerte tax software for tax preparation tasks.

Requirements

• 2 years or more of recent income tax preparation experience.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience with QuickBooks is preferred but not required.
• Good communication and client service skills are essential.
• Hands-on experience with Lacerte tax software is preferred but not required.

Nice-to-haves

• CPA or Enrolled Agent license is helpful but not required.
