About the position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Tax Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and reviewing tax returns, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and providing financial advice to clients. This role requires a strong understanding of financial accounting principles and the ability to interpret financial reports.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals and businesses.
• Review financial records and statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with tax laws.
• Interpret financial reports and provide insights on financial performance.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in tax legislation and regulations.
• Collaborate with clients to gather necessary documentation for tax preparation.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles, including debits and credits.
• Proficiency in financial report interpretation and analysis.
• Experience with QuickBooks, Quicken or similar accounting software is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective client interaction.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
