About the position

The Tax Accountant position at Atlantis IT Consulting involves providing tax accounting services for both individual and business clients. The role requires strong bookkeeping skills and the ability to prepare various tax returns, including 1040, 1065, 1120, and 1120S. The accountant will assist management in planning and managing engagement activities, ensuring effective communication with clients and authorities, and maintaining strong client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Prepare individual and business tax returns including 1040, 1065, 1120, and 1120S.
• Assist management in planning and managing engagement activities.
• Build and maintain working relationships with clients.
• Correspond with Federal and State authorities regarding tax notices.
• Handle engagements from start to finish.
• Utilize CS Professional Suite and QuickBooks for tax preparation.

Requirements

• CPA certification is required.
• Minimum of 3 years of tax experience in a CPA firm.
• Strong bookkeeping skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Experience with GAAP accounting.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with 990, 706, and 709 returns.
• Multi-State Tax Preparation experience.
• Degree in Accounting.
