About the position

The Tax Accountant position at Market Tree Research involves preparing and reviewing individual and business tax returns, providing comprehensive accounting support, and ensuring accuracy in financial reporting. The role requires strong technical skills in tax and accounting, as well as excellent communication abilities to work directly with clients.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review individual tax returns for clients, ensuring accuracy with year-end adjustments in QuickBooks.
• Prepare tax filings for S-Corporations, Partnerships, and C-Corps using ProSeries software.
• Support client accounting needs by ensuring accuracy with year-end adjustments in QuickBooks.

Requirements

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• CPA certification preferred or actively pursuing
• 5 years of experience as a Tax Accountant (preferred)
• 1 year of experience in public accounting (preferred)
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
• Familiarity with tax software, preferably ProSeries
• Essential knowledge of QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
• Strong technical skills in tax and accounting
• Self-motivated and eager to learn from an experienced CPA
