About the position

The Tax Accountant position at Employbridge involves managing tax-related accounting functions to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards. The role requires a strong understanding of tax regulations and financial reporting, as well as the ability to conduct thorough tax analysis and prepare various tax filings. This position also includes responsibilities for month-end and year-end closing processes, providing leadership on tax matters, and liaising with auditors during tax audits.

Responsibilities

• Manage and execute tax related accounting functions related to compliance and regulatory standards
• Ensure compliance on required state specific tax documentation with all state regulations and timely submissions of tax documents
• Research and maintain up to date on tax law changes, identifying potential risks or impact to company
• Prepare and review various tax filings including federal, state and local
• Perform tax analysis to ensure compliance with applicable regulations
• Assist and provide data in preparation of financial statements
• Conduct month end and year end closing processes within appropriate deadlines
• Provide leadership with tax-related matters to optimize financial outcomes and reduce liabilities
• Liaison with internal team and external auditors during tax audits and reviews
• Maintain accurate and proper tax documentation and records

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Tax or related field
• 4 plus years of experience in accounting with an emphasis in tax
• CPA or related certification, a plus
• Solid understanding of tax regulations, financial reporting and GAAP standards
• Excellent in MS Office Products including Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and accounting software. SAP a plus
• Excellent presentation skills both written and verbal
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
