About the position

A local CPA in Monmouth County is seeking a Tax Accountant to join their team. The Tax Accountant will be responsible for various accounting tasks including closing the books, year-end and quarterly closing, preparing journal entries, bank reconciliations, and reviewing and reconciling Trial Balance accounts. The role also involves preparing payroll and sales tax returns, as well as Corporate, S-Corp, Partnership, and Individual Income Tax Returns. The ideal candidate should have over 10 years of experience and possess a CPA license, with knowledge of QuickBooks and Lacerte being a plus.

Responsibilities

• Close the books for year-end and quarterly closing.
• Prepare journal entries and bank reconciliations.
• Review and reconcile Trial Balance accounts.
• Prepare payroll and sales tax returns.
• Prepare Corporate, S-Corp, Partnership, and Individual Income Tax Returns.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in tax accounting.
• Valid CPA license.
• Experience with QuickBooks and Lacerte is a plus.

Nice-to-haves
