About the position

We are seeking a skilled Tax Accountant to join our team at LNS Accounting & Business Consultants. The Tax Accountant will be responsible for preparing and analyzing financial records, tax returns, and reports. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and accuracy in financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns
• Conduct tax research and analysis
• Assist in tax planning and strategy development
• Review financial statements for accuracy and compliance
• Collaborate with clients to gather necessary financial information
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws and regulations
• Provide guidance on tax deductions and credits

Requirements

• Proficiency in QuickBooks and general ledger accounting
• Strong knowledge of financial concepts and balance sheet reconciliation
• Experience in account analysis, debits, and credits
• Ability to perform financial analysis effectively
• Enrolled Agent license (Required)
• 3 years of tax experience (Preferred)

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with wills, trusts, estate law, securities law is a plus
