The Tax Accountant at Glades INC is responsible for preparing complex tax returns and projections for various entities, including individuals, trusts, estates, and non-profit organizations. This role requires a strong understanding of federal and multi-state tax regulations, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with clients and government agencies. The position offers a flexible schedule and is based in a modern office environment in West Palm Beach, FL.

Responsibilities

• Preparing complex Federal and multi-state tax returns for individuals, trusts, estates, non-profit organizations, and pass-through entities
• Preparing gift tax returns
• Preparing quarterly and year-end tax projections
• Preparing and maintaining tax workpapers
• Delivering clear requests for information
• Responding to Federal, state, and local tax notices
• Researching Federal, state, and sometimes international tax issues

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 3 years of experience in tax accounting
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong communication skills

Nice-to-haves

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong time management skills
• Proficient with use of GoSystem Tax RS
• CPA certification
