About the position

We are a local CPA firm seeking a reliable and team-oriented tax accountant to join our firm. This full-time position involves working closely with other staff to complete projects that meet compliance and client deadlines, particularly during the tax season.

Responsibilities

• Prepare tax returns for individuals, trusts, partnerships, and corporations.
• Financial statement preparation.
• Assist clients with general ledger review and adjusting journal entries.
• Conduct tax research and income tax projections.
• Review quarterly and annual payroll tax returns.
• Correspond with taxing authorities.
• Assist with other related assignments as needed.

Requirements

• 1 year of tax accounting experience (required).
• CPA or CPA candidate preferred; consideration given to an enrolled agent with proper experience.
• Knowledge of relevant tax laws and regulations.
• Ability to multi-task and complete engagements within time constraints and deadlines.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with UltraTax and QuickBooks is a plus.
