About the position

Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Accountant to join their tax team. This position is ideal for individuals who have a solid background in accounting, bookkeeping, and tax services, with a focus on providing high-quality support to the tax department. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of accounting and bookkeeping duties, assisting with tax preparation and filing, and providing additional support for ad hoc projects as required by other teams. This role requires a high level of discretion, strong analytical skills, and the ability to perform administrative tasks as needed. The candidate must be able to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining a strong focus on detail and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Perform accounting and bookkeeping duties
• Assist with tax preparation and filing
• Provide additional assistance with ad hoc projects for other teams as required
• Perform administrative tasks as needed

Requirements

• Accounting degree required
• 2-5 years of accounting, bookkeeping, and/or tax experience
• Prior tax experience preferred
• Strong Excel skills required
• CPA preferred
• Prior experience in financial services preferred
• Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail
• Ability to multi-task
• Must possess a team-focused attitude with the ability to work collaboratively with others
• High level of discretion and confidentiality required
• Strong analytical skills required
