About the position

The Tax Accountant position at Perdue Farms is responsible for managing the multi-state sales and use tax process. This includes responding to customer inquiries, reviewing purchases, and preparing and filing sales and use tax returns. The role is essential for ensuring compliance with tax regulations and maintaining accurate financial records.

Responsibilities

• Respond timely to internal/external customers on taxability of purchases and provide appropriate documentation.
• Prepare reconciliations for sales and use tax liability balance sheet accounts.
• Review accruals and prepare journal entries.
• Compile data and file sales and use tax returns required on a monthly/quarterly/annual basis.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• 1-3 years related work experience
