About the position

Ledgent Accounting & Finance has partnered with a premier CPA firm located in West LA and is actively seeking a Tax Accountant to join their growing team! This position is onsite Monday through Friday, making it an excellent opportunity for someone who prefers working within a medium-sized established firm and values work-life balance. The Tax Accountant will play a crucial role in preparing, reviewing, and supervising the preparation of Federal and State tax returns for various entities, including pass-through entities, corporations, and high-net-worth individuals. The firm specializes in multi-state and multi-billion dollar real estate funds, providing a dynamic environment for tax planning and strategy development. Additionally, the role involves handling private foundation and public charity returns, as well as fiduciary, gift, and estate tax returns. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented individual who is eager to learn and grow within the field of tax accounting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review and supervise preparation of Federal and State tax returns for pass-through entities, corporations, and high-net-worth individuals.
• Handle multi-state and multi-billion dollar real estate funds.
• Develop tax planning strategies and provide guidance on tax-related matters.
• Prepare returns for private foundations and public charities.
• Manage fiduciary, gift, and estate tax returns.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher education in Accounting.
• 4-8 years of public accounting or business management experience.
• Experience preparing tax returns for high-net worth individuals, real estate, and corporations.
• Licensed CPA in California or CPA tracking.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work as a team player.
• Good organizational skills and detail-oriented.
• Familiarity with Lacerte, Pro-Systems Tax, CCH Axcess.
