About the position

The Tax Accounting Manager will lead the tax department of a growing full-service accounting firm in Franklin, MA. This role involves overseeing client accounts, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and providing high-level tax management services. The position offers a pathway to partnership for a seasoned tax professional with strong leadership and client management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee tax preparation, review, and filing for clients, including 1040, 1041, 1120, 1120S, 1065, and 990 returns.
  • Provide high-level tax management, including budgeting, forecasting, and client advisory services.
  • Supervise and mentor a small team of tax professionals, ensuring high-quality service and development.
  • Collaborate with other departments on tax planning and client engagement strategies.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax regulations and industry trends.

Requirements

  • CPA certification required.
  • 5+ years of experience in public accounting with a focus on corporate tax.
  • 2-3 years of supervisory experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in CCH, UltraTax, and Thomson Reuters software.
  • Strong communication and client management skills.
