About the position

Best Fit CPA is seeking a full-time Tax & Accounting Manager to join their dynamic, client-focused team. Responsibilities

• Prepare personal, S-Corporation, partnership, and fiduciary tax returns
• Review tax returns prepared by others
• Stay current on federal tax laws & conduct tax research
• Handle tax authority notices and assist clients with tax-related inquiries
• Assist clients in various accounting and tax needs including setting up S-Corporation status
• Facilitate onboarding and clean-up of new bookkeeping clients
• Lead at least one direct report bookkeeper/tax data entry accounting specialist
• Review monthly bookkeeping reports and provide feedback
• Prepare monthly reporting and special projects for 3-5 CFO clients

Requirements

• Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• CPA or EA (Enrolled Agent) certification strongly preferred
• 3 years of tax preparation experience
• Knowledge of standard depreciation methods and lives
• Familiarity with S-Corporation basis rules
• Proven experience in technical accounting, including debits and credits management
• Great internal and external communication skills
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to prioritize and execute between multiple projects
• Willingness to work some overtime during tax season
• Proficient in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Office Suite
