Responsibilities

• Train and become a tax planning advisor helping clients navigate different strategies for smarter tax and financial decisions.
• Prepare tax returns for small business clients and high net worth individuals.
• Conduct tax planning kickoff calls, implementation calls, and quarterly calls to engage clients with their tax questions throughout the year.
• Record tax entries within clients' accounting systems and identify potential tax errors.
• Stay updated with the latest tax legislation changes and IRS pronouncements.
• Research applicable strategies to assist clients in the evolving tax industry.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in public accounting focusing on taxes for individuals and small businesses.
• Must be a licensed tax preparer - CPA or EA.
• Experience in a tax reviewer role is required.
• Strong problem-solving and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize, handle multiple tasks, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
• Advanced Excel skills are necessary.
• Willingness and ability to learn new tools and technologies quickly.
• Ability to maintain an ego-free environment to focus on problem-solving and long-term solutions.
• Capability to manage multiple projects while meeting tight deadlines.
