About the position

The Tax Associate position at H&R Block involves providing tax preparation services to clients, including conducting interviews, preparing tax returns, and offering support for IRS inquiries. This role is essential in helping clients navigate their tax obligations while contributing to the growth and success of the business through client retention and service offerings. The position is seasonal and requires a commitment to working flexible hours during the tax season.

Responsibilities

• Conduct tax interviews with clients face to face and through virtual tools - video, phone, chat, email
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns
• Generate business growth, increase client retention, and offer additional products and services
• Provide clients with IRS support
• Support office priorities through teamwork and collaboration
• Grow your tax expertise

Requirements

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or Income Tax Course
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work a minimum of 25-35 hours weekly throughout tax season and up to 40 hours during peak weeks

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
• Previous experience in a customer service or retail environment
