About the position

Yeo & Yeo is seeking a Staff Accountant to join their dynamic team. This role involves providing accounting and advisory services, including tax preparation and consulting, to help clients achieve their business and individual goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles, proficiency in tax software, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team. Responsibilities

• Prepare and complete basic individual and entity tax returns (1120S, 1040, 1065).
• Conduct tax research assignments and provide solutions to tax-related issues.
• Assist and train junior staff in tax preparation and accounting tasks.
• Participate in client meetings and provide insights on tax matters.
• Reconcile trial balances to source documents and prepare depreciation schedules.
• Identify required payroll tax return filings and reconcile payroll liabilities.
• Engage in business development activities and maintain a professional network.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Accounting or related field.
• Active CPA accreditation.
• Experience as a Staff Accountant in Public Accounting or equivalent experience.
• Proficient in Ultra Tax, Fixed Asset Solutions, and Advance Flow.
• Ability to complete various entity tax returns accurately and efficiently.
• Understanding of basic financial statements and reconciliation processes.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with QuickBooks for data entry and report preparation.
• Completion of Dale Carnegie course or similar training for personal development.
• Interest in specializing in a particular industry for tax services.
