Responsibilities

  • Complete basic individual tax returns accurately and efficiently.
  • Prepare various entity tax returns including 1120S, 1040, and 1065.
  • Conduct tax research assignments and identify areas of specialization in tax.
  • Lead staff and complete assignments with minimal supervision.
  • Reconcile trial balances to source documents and prepare depreciation schedules.
  • Identify required payroll tax return filings and reconcile payroll liabilities.
  • Prepare payroll tax return filings and reconcile simple bank statements.
  • Utilize QuickBooks for data entry, report preparation, and other tasks.
  • Engage in personal development and seek feedback for improvement.
  • Participate in community events and represent the firm.
  • Develop a professional social media presence and engage in business development activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Accounting or related field (150 credit hours preferred).
  • Aspirations to become a CPA and develop a public accounting career.
  • Proficiency in completing basic individual tax returns.
  • Understanding of financial statements and ability to reconcile trial balances.
  • Experience with Fixed Asset Solutions, Advance Flow, and ACS.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with QuickBooks and payroll tax return filings.
  • Knowledge of business development strategies and community engagement.
