About the position

The Tax Credit Finance Associate at Evergrow plays a vital role in supporting the company's mission to facilitate financing for low-carbon infrastructure and technology. This position involves working closely with the Director of Tax Credit Finance to enhance the company's capacity for new business, develop financing products, and manage tax credit transactions effectively. The role is integral to ensuring compliance with policy requirements and improving operational processes as deal volume increases.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting due diligence for tax credit transfer and tax equity transactions using Evergrow's tax credit financing platform.
  • Ensuring tax credit transactions meet Evergrow's policy requirements.
  • Managing documentation and tracking deliverables with third parties including independent engineers, accounting firms, and insurance brokers.
  • Helping to document due diligence processes and keep the team's work efficiently tracked.
  • Managing relationships and developing efficient customer communication to support the diligence process.
  • Conducting research and writing up findings as inputs into product feature development.
  • Developing reports to summarize key diligence metrics and reporting out in weekly or monthly company meetings.
  • Helping build out Evergrow's asset management functions.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of experience in renewable energy tax equity finance, with a strong understanding of tax credit transaction structuring.
  • Education or background in finance including experience with financial statement analysis and financial modeling.
  • Experience with project due diligence and transaction execution either with a project developer or institutional investor.
  • Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Interest in and ability to balance multiple initiatives at the same time, and jump in wherever needed.
  • A proactive, detail-oriented, resourceful approach to their work who loves problem-solving.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Intellectual curiosity and self-starter who is energized by building new products.
