Responsibilities
- Provide federal tax compliance and consulting services to Baker Tilly.
- Deliver tax compliance and advisory services to domestic and foreign partnerships, individuals, S Corporations, and C Corporations, with a focus on domestic partnerships.
- Participate in tax research projects and assist in drafting IRS responses and addressing inquiries from tax authorities.
- Collaborate with leaders on special projects related to flow-through taxation.
- Develop and share recommendations with leadership for strategic discussions.
- Communicate with specialty tax practices on complex tax matters across various areas including state and local taxation, high net worth, international, and credits and incentives.
- Stay updated on tax trends and developments to apply to complex situations.
- Engage in direct coaching and mentoring while participating in firm-wide learning and development programs.
- Utilize networking skills to build strong internal relationships.
- Support the growth and development of team members through the Baker Tilly Care and Teach philosophy.
Requirements
- Proven experience in tax compliance and advisory services, particularly with partnerships.
- Strong knowledge of federal tax regulations and compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client and team interactions.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and experience in mentoring team members.
