About the position
The Tax & Fund Accounting Manager position at a pioneering crypto investment firm in San Francisco offers a unique opportunity to engage with the fast-evolving landscape of digital finance. This hybrid role allows for collaboration with a vibrant team and leading industry innovators while contributing to high-impact projects in tax review and fund accounting.
Responsibilities
- Report directly to the Controller, contributing to high-impact projects.
- Take on tax review and fund accounting responsibilities.
- Review tax returns and lead tax planning at the fund level.
- Manage relationships with tax vendors and investors.
- Support financial accounting by reviewing fund admin work, overseeing audits, and contributing to fundraising efforts.
Requirements
- 5+ years of tax experience in asset management, ideally VC/PE
- Strong Excel skills (e.g., VLOOKUP, pivot tables)
- CPA or equivalent preferred
- Background in R&D tax credits, international tax, and corporate tax fundamentals
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work independently on projects with minimal supervision
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related.
